As commander of the battlestar Galactica and her refugee fleet, William "Husker" Adama faced both Cylon threats and human challenges on their outward flight from the Colonies. In doing so, he defined what it meant to be a leader.

The Old Man's uniform can now be yours: ANOVOS is pleased to offer the Commander's Edition Battlestar Galactica Duty Blue Uniform.

After research into the actual sources of these fabrics and uniforms, ANOVOS has reached an exclusive agreement to have these garments tailored by the original teams responsible for iconic blue uniforms worn onscreen. The specialized wool/blend fabric has also been re-woven specifically for production. The accompanying patch of choice will also be recreated not only from original specialized fabric, but also patch maker. No details were spared as this high-end replica uniform redefines accuracy.

The Commander's Duty Blue features the red and gold piping and cuff buckle detail. Uniforms will be customizable, including your choice of an arm flash (a.k.a. ship patch), Commander or Admiral rank pins, and your choice of Flight Wing pin.

All Duty Blue uniforms produced by ANOVOS can be ordered with different sizes for both jacket and pant, as well as undershirts (the "Double Tanks"). For ease of tailoring, the pant is un-hemmed and the jacket cuffs can be adjusted for different arm lengths. As ANOVOS offers stock sizes only, the customer will need to have the uniform professionally tailored to fit exactly, per the rules and regulations set forth by the Colonial Fleet Admiralty, and as outlined in our Colonial Depatment of Defense care guide.

1. The "William Adama" Commander's Duty Blue

This version comes with Galactica battlestar ship patch, Commander's rank pins, Elite Flight Wings, and double tanks. This is the version that Adama wore when we are first introduced to the character in the 3 hour BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Miniseries, and wore prior to his promotion to Admiral in Season 2.

2. The "William Adama" Admiral's Duty Blue

This version comes with Galactica battlestar ship patch, Admiral's rank pins, Elite Flight Wings, and double tanks. This is the version that Adama wore following Gina's murder of Admiral Helena Cain in Season 2's "Resurrection Ship, Part II," resulting in his promotion to Admiral by President Laura Roslin. In an interesting development, William Adama was never issued a new uniform with the proper piping (like Admiral Cain) and so wore his Commander uniform for the remainder of the series.

3. The "Lee Adama" Commander's Duty Blue

This version comes with Pegasus battlestar ship patch, Commander's rank pins, Standard Flight Wings, and double tanks. This is the version that Lee Adama wore while commanding Pegasus. (Yes, ANOVOS is aware that he wore Senior Flight Wings in "Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II," but that was a prop error — Lee Adama never qualified for the Elite Flight Wings, no more than Dualla was ever a Lieutenant Colonel.)

We expect the Commander's Edition Duty Blues to begin shipping in March 2012 at the earliest. This is an estimate and is subject to change.

Please note that Shipping & Handling shall be billed separately when the item is completely paid for and ready to ship. Payments on our forthcoming layaway program will be in increments, so only a minimum payment will be required to place your initial order. Details on this will be released by launch.
